a day in the studio: zhuang hong yi
commissioned by hofa gallery london, i had the pleasure of spending the day with chinese artist zhunag hong yi in his rotterdam based studio whilst he created his first piece of 2020.
known for his vibrant canvases inspired by flowerbeds, each one featuring hundreds of pieces of folded and painted rice paper, zhuang finds most of his inspiration in nature.
